The exhibition Collection of Nikolai and Georgy Botka. Two Generations of Art Collectors presents more than 180 works, a quarter of which are executed by women. These female artists made a significant contribution to the development of Russian and European culture of the XX century. The art mediation will be dedicated to their work and fate. We shall talk about Elena Kiseleva, Ilya Repin's favorite student, who became the first female member of the Society of Architects-Artists; Marevna, the muse of Diego Rivera, who achieved recognition in emigration and developed an original style, combining cubism and pointillism; and Lidia Masterkova, a participant in the Bulldozer Exhibition of 1974, who successfully worked in France since the second half of the 1970s.
The art mediation takes place in the format of a conversation when each participant can share his thoughts, ideas and feelings. No special knowledge is required.
