We continue to explore Japanese culture which the Impressionists were so fond of. At the event the artist Alla Gracheva, head of the Yukimi Ink Painting Studio, will tell us about the history of Japanese Sumi-e painting and the philosophy behind this art.
The theme of the next workshop is “plum in bloom”. Ume flowers are considered to be a symbol of spring because they are among the first plants to bloom at the end of winter. They are fragile, delicate in shape, with a delicate fragrance, associated with beauty and tenderness.
Plum tree blooming in a cold season is a symbol of rebirth and endurance.
Important! The workshop will last 3 hours with a short tea break. We shall work not only with ink but also with mineral colours. All materials are included in the price. Places are limited.
