
Guided tours of the Point of View series are conducted by experts from different fields not related to the world of art – they share their impressions of the exhibited works through the prism of their professional experience.
We shall take a tour of the Light and Air exhibition together with Natalia Shemiakina, Candidate of Sciences (Biology), a leading researcher at the I. M. Sechenov Institute of Evolutionary Physiology and Biochemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, co-curator of the project Neuroaesthetics at the Russian Museum (together with S. Biriukova and Yu. Potapov).
We shall talk about neuroaesthetics, artificial intelligence and aesthetic perception of art, discuss how one’s brain sees beauty during museum visit and how art can manipulate our perception.
